Overview:

The main objective of this position is to focus on the optimization, management, enhancement and evangelism of RMC Salesforce System. In this role, you’ll work at the intersection of Sales, Operations, Marketing, Finance and IT, analyzing and synthesizing a roadmap for continued efficiencies and systems development. In addition, The Director of Technology will lead and be accountable for executive reporting, user adoption and ongoing training and development. You will own the architecture of Salesforce.com and ensure scalable growth and streamlined processes through technology implementations. While this position needs to be Salesforce centric in terms of its skill set, the individual filling the position needs to also have the ability to work in and be conversant with all of our technology, and get his or her arms around the entire picture. This is a “roll up the sleeves” position, responsible for keeping RMC current on technology changes that impact our industry and help us plan to continue to be a leader in the use of technology as tools to help our staff do their jobs as efficiently and effectively as possible, and to improve service to our partners and clients. The person who fills this position must be an excellent communicator. He or she must be able to work comfortably with the language of the high-tech realm and be able to translate technical issues into common language that our workforce can understand.

 

 

Essential Functions:

  • Handle all Salesforce and Salesforce CPQ administrative functions for user base of 60. This includes user account maintenance, reports and dashboards, custom fields, workflows, licenses, external apps/add-ons, process builder, page layouts, custom fields/objects, and other Salesforce.com customizations and routine tasks.
  • Complete regular internal system audits and prepare for upgrades/updates
  • Develop and maintain a Technology Strategic Plan and prioritize new implementations for continued efficiency building
  • Become an expert in RMC business and sales processes in order to develop internal business systems that match our teams’ needs while identifying ways to improve and innovate.
  • Deliver key data driven insight to executive team on sales metrics and performance indicators and promote a data-driven environment across the organization
  • Prioritize and manage process improvement initiatives aimed at increasing data integrity, reporting capability, and process efficiency
  • Establish training protocols and data development process for new CPQ environment
  • Lead training of new users and grow the Salesforce skill set across the organization. Develop training materials as needed.
  • Attend Dreamforce and stay up to date on all new releases and critical updates.
  • Manage on-boarding processes for Salesforce and Email systems
  • Manage Salesforce training – in concert with RMC Trainer.
  • Development of new CPQ, Pardot and Einstein environments
  • Travel is required – destination specific training within each office for adoption, competencies, and user-confidence.
  • Maintain or achieve Salesforce Certifications

Additional responsibilities:

  • Provide general IT to support including management of RMC’s cloud-based file server, email and phone systems
  • Management of RMC licensed software and user permission
  • Participate in regular sales and management meetings
  • Other duties as assigned

 

 

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

 

Knowledge of:

  • Salesforce and CPQ experience required. Net Suite experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, handle and prioritize simultaneous requests, and manage laterally and upwards
  • Experience with add-on applications
  • Creative and analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Experience with data analysis and report creation
  • CPQ (required)
  • Pardot (preferred)
  • Sales Cloud Einstein (preferred)
  • Experience with Data Loader (preferred)
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, explicitly Excel

  • Firm understanding of the Salesforce.com platform and demonstrated capability to implement solutions

  • Ability and desire to be able to communicate related concepts/issues to individuals at all levels within the reporting structure.
  • Email proficiency skills are required – this includes the ability to compose and communicate effective, and professional messages to superiors, counterparts, subordinates, clients, partners, and anyone else communications are exchanged while representing RMC.
  • Proficient computer skills, including smart phone applications – including both hardware management and software familiarity, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint for presentations, along with various web and cloud-based file management, storage, and program development systems.
  • Ability to think innovatively and offer technology suggestions to RMC’s Executive Team
  • Excellent technical skills and high-level energy, motivation, positive attitude, and the ability to be creative in process development and implementation
  • Must have valid driver’s license.

 

Education and experience:

 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Information Systems, Business Management, or General Studies. An exception to the educational requirement can be made based on level of practical experience.
  • Certified Salesforce CPQ Specialist (preferred)
  • Certified Salesforce Administrator (ADM 201) (preferred)

 

Experience:

  • A minimum of five years (+) of direct experience with Salesforce
  • Positions requires physical activities but are not limited to climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, finger use, grasping, and hearing, and seeing.
  • Must be able to exert up to twenty-five (25) pounds, in the amount of force needed to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects up to 25 pounds, up to 50 pounds aided.
  • The employee is required, on a regular basis, to carry objects in his or her arms or on the shoulder(s), up to 25 pounds unaided or 50 pounds aided.
  • Ability to stoop, bend, and climb stairs and ladders as required to perform assigned job function.
  • Ability to view a computer screen for long periods of time.
  • The job requires expressing ideas by the spoken word to communicate, understand and clarify needs expectations and requirements, this is a clear requirement of the effective communication component of the job function.
  • Listening: The job requires the perception of speech and the nature of sounds in the air in order to communicate understand and clarify needs, expectations, and requirements, this is a clear requirement of the effective communication component of the job function.
  • Manual dexterity for operating computer and other office equipment.
