Desert Botanical Garden

A treasure in the heart of Papago Park, the winding paths of this 140-acre desert garden showcase a fantastic variety of arid plants, from towering saguaros to delicate blooms all within a unique outdoor setting. There are 5 thematic trails throughout the park that touch on conservation, desert living, ecology of the Sonoran Desert and desert wildflowers. In winter, the garden is transformed into Las Noches de Las Luninarias, a holiday festival of lights with thousands of luminaria bags and twinkling lights. In spring, the trails are filled with stories and songs about nature during Flutterfest, a celebration of the butterfly. A visit any time of year leads to unexpected surprises. A joy for any visitor.
