Event Sales Manager/ Senior Event Sales Manager (DOE) – Salt Lake City, UT On-Site (Not Remote)

Salary: 70k-90k plus PFP

The position will be based in Salt Lake City, UT. We require our Event Sales Manager to live and breathe in the Salt Lake City or the daily commutable vicinity.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Independently prospect, respond to RFP’s, and work closely with existing clients and hotel partners to develop, propose, sell and close programs under supervision as noted above.
  • Respond to incoming leads for group business, within 24 hours of initial inquiry.
  • Develop creative proposals, contracts and site inspection collateral and tailor them to meet the needs of specific program requests and RFP’s.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local vendors such as activity, restaurant, and venue suppliers.
  • Assist with preparation and implementation of annual office sales plan that details revenue projections and other goals established by guidelines from the Executive Team.
  • Establish positive and lasting relationships with clients, (corporate direct, Association and Incentive) and hotels
  • Serve as lead sales staff for site inspections as directed.
  • Upsell the client on RMC services when appropriate.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of all products RMC offers including pricing, descriptions, theme events.
  • Must be experienced in maintaining strong client relations in order to develop and continue repour to maintain and ensure repeat business.

The ideal candidate must have:

  • A minimum of three to five years experience in business development or sales.
  • Destination Management or hospitality industry preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in business management, marketing, or related discipline.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient computer skills – including both hardware management and software familiarity; including Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, and Power Point.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize and perform a wide variety of tasks over the course of the workday; must be accurate and conscientious.
  • Strong background in negotiation skills required.

General Manager (DOE) Colorado Springs, CO

Overview:

The General Manager duties supervise all sales managers, operation managers, and directors in their respective region. • Effective oral and written communication skills; excellent interpersonal skills, and problem-solving skills. This includes the ability to develop written client proposals, contracts, and other written documents with minimal oversight and supervision.

• Email proficiency skills are required – this includes the ability to compose and communicate effective, and professional messages to superiors, counterparts, subordinates, clients, partners, and anyone else communications are exchanged while representing RMC.

• Proficient computer skills, including smart phone applications – including both hardware management and software familiarity, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint for presentations, along with various web and cloud-based file management, storage, and program development systems. Must be proficient with keyboarding skills to 40-60 words per minute.

• Ability to think innovatively and offer suggestions to RMC’s Executive Team, which would be introduced to streamline processes in place

• Excellent technical skills and high-level energy, motivation, positive attitude, and the ability to be creative in process development and implementation

• Must have valid driver’s license

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

· Positions requires physical activities but are not limited to climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, finger use, grasping, and hearing, and seeing.

Qualifications:
