When Discovery Channel founder John Hendricks first came to Gateway, CO in the mid 1990s he knew that he would someday make it his home. The town of Gateway, home to Hendricks’ Gateway Canyons Resort, lies in one of the most unique red rock canyons in the world and the only canyon in the world that is drained by two creeks, sending water off in opposite directions. It is the native home to the Pueblo, Fremont, and Ute Native American Tribes, as well as American homesteaders who first came to the area in 1884.
