Hosted at Mortenson’s Eaves Movie Ranch—established in 1969 for Gene Kelly’s The Cheyenne Social Club—this Santa Fe event unfolded on one of the most iconic film sets in the American West. With more than 250 productions filmed here, including Lonesome Dove, Silverado, Wyatt Earp, and Young Guns II, guests wandered the historic boardwalk imagining legends like John Wayne, Jimmy Stewart, and Clint Eastwood in their footsteps. A custom cowboy hat bar set the tone, while a surprise appearance by Clyde the Buffalo—Santa Fe’s famed bison actor seen in Yellowstone and national campaigns—created an unforgettable, cinematic moment rooted in Western lore.

“Our goal was to let the location do the storytelling. Eaves Movie Ranch has so much history and character that the design simply enhanced what was already there—creating moments that felt authentic, immersive, and deeply memorable.”
